You've run a seven-figure budget, rebuilt attribution after the last CRM migration, and outlasted at least one CMO. So you search "remote marketing director jobs," LinkedIn promises 6,000+ of them, and the results include a fully remote Senior Director of Demand Generation at Paylocity, posted at $180,000 to $250,000 with "no in-office requirements," and a Director of Precision & Marketing Analytics at Molson Coors, $149,400 to $196,100, on "a hybrid work model of 4 days in the office."
Both are numbers jobs. Only one is remote, and the reason is printed in the postings. Paylocity's director is "held directly accountable for marketing-sourced and marketing-influenced revenue," a number that lives in the CRM, where Sales and the CFO can read it from anywhere. Molson Coors' director works through "media agency partners" and brand teams who sit in the building. Remote isn't something a company decides at the offer stage. It follows where your work gets judged.

We analyzed 2,566 US marketing director job postings across 1,984 employers; 2,384 of the 2,564 dated ones were listed between July 28 and October 27, 2026. This guide shows how many are really remote, what each kind of employer pays, the small print on the remote listings, and a five-check Dashboard Score that predicts whether a posting is remote before you reach the location line.
Yes, about a third of marketing director jobs are remote: 420 of the 1,328 postings that state a work model (31.6%) are fully remote, and 51 of 247 (20.6%) on employers' own career sites. The remote seats sit in B2B software revenue lanes (demand generation 38 of 57, product marketing 70 of 161), and they pay more, not less: a $175K posted median against $148K for on-site seats. Consumer brands (32 of 187) and pharma companies (48 of 189) keep most of their marketing directors in the office.
Here's the data behind that answer, every figure with its denominator.
Based on 2,566 US marketing director postings at 1,984 employers (2,384 of the 2,564 dated ones listed July 28 to October 27, 2026):
- 420 of 1,328 postings that state a work model are fully remote (31.6%); 591 are hybrid, 266 are on site or tied to a named office, and 1,094 of the 2,566 never say
- 51 of 247 (20.6%) are remote on employers' own Workday and ATS career sites, which we didn't search with a remote keyword
- $168K median posted pay (n=1,191 salaried ranges; middle of the pack $150K to $185K)
- $198K vs $185K vs $109K: median pay at pharma, biotech and medtech companies (n=139), tech companies (n=239), and schools and nonprofits (n=113)
- 20.4% vs 52.4%: remote share for postings scoring 0-1 (112 of 550) and 4-5 (98 of 187) on the Dashboard Score below
- $143K vs $176K: median pay when the director reports to the CEO or owner (n=48) and when they report to a VP or CMO (n=176)
- 399 of 2,566 postings (15.6%) ask you to manage agencies; those are remote 44 of 204 times (21.6%)
How We Collected This Data
Start with what this data can't see. Indeed, Glassdoor and ZipRecruiter return a 403 to scripts, and Reddit blocks automated access, so there are no forum quotes here. Director searches that a recruiter fills from a phone list never become a public posting at all.
Here's what we could read. LinkedIn's public job search returned 4,232 cards across 52 marketing-director keyword searches, and we read the full text of 2,188 of them, one per employer and title. On top of that: 590 SimplyHired job pages (the Indeed network, from 3,059 cards), 468 live employer Workday career sites (739 tried), 1,163 live Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby and SmartRecruiters boards out of 4,471 company names tried, the Himalayas remote board and Amazon's job search.
Those sources produced 3,233 US copies, which collapsed to 2,566 requisitions at 1,984 employers. We merged the same title at the same employer, merged employer name variants (Gilead and Gilead Sciences post the same jobs under both names), and counted job-board reposts once.
Titles in: marketing director, director of marketing, director of a named marketing lane, associate, senior, group and executive director titles, director of demand generation, brand director and AVP of marketing. VP, head of marketing, CMO and marketing manager postings are counted separately as the rungs around it. Out: 169 lookalikes, mostly hotel, senior-living and homebuilder "Director of Sales and Marketing" jobs (132), nursing-home "Marketing Director" jobs that are admissions sales (17), and Follett's campus-bookstore "Student Marketing Director" listings, plus 123 non-US rows.
The work model comes from the posting text, and we hand-checked samples of every label. Of 60 postings our first pass called remote, 8 were wrong: four were the Follett student jobs, which offer remote work "during school breaks," and three said things like "open to remote for the right candidate," which we count as remote at the employer's choice, not remote. A sample of the never-say pile turned up phrasings the classifier had missed ("In office, Monday through Friday," "Working Model: Hybrid"). We fixed those and re-ran everything.
One caveat on the remote share. We searched SimplyHired with "remote" as a location, and LinkedIn's index leans toward remote listings, so 31.6% is the high end. Drop the SimplyHired remote-filter finds and it's 373 of 1,276 (29.2%); on career sites alone it's 20.6%.
Pay: 1,191 salaried postings publish a range, and we use each range's midpoint. Figures are base pay. We refresh this analysis quarterly, and these numbers reflect October 2026.
The Dashboard Score: Five Checks That Predict a Remote Marketing Director Job
The Dashboard Score is a 0-to-5 count of how much of a director's work the company can grade from a system instead of a room. It takes a minute per posting, and you can run it before you scroll to the location line.
The five checks, one point each:
- Tech employer. The company sells software or technology: SaaS, internet, IT services, fintech, chips.
- Revenue lane. The title names demand generation, growth, performance, field, product marketing, lifecycle, marketing operations, partner marketing or account-based marketing. Plain "Marketing Director," brand, communications and digital titles score 0.
- Pipeline metrics. The posting measures you on pipeline, MQLs or SQLs, bookings, marketing-sourced revenue, CAC or ARR.
- The stack is named. Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot, Eloqua, 6sense or Demandbase appears in the posting.
- No agency roster. The posting doesn't ask you to manage, direct or partner with agencies.
Scoring:
- Room seat (0-1): $140K to $175K, median $160K (n=557). Consumer, pharma, industrial or nonprofit employer; a general, brand, communications or digital title; agencies, retail partners and brand teams in the duties. Remote: 112 of 550 stating postings (20.4%).
- Split seat (2-3): $150K to $190K, median $170K (n=494). A generalist at a software company, product marketing at an industrial firm, demand gen without a named stack. Remote: 210 of 591 (35.5%).
- Dashboard seat (4-5): $169K to $200K, median $185K (n=140). A software company, a revenue lane, pipeline targets and the CRM in the posting, no agency roster. Remote: 98 of 187 (52.4%).
How to use it: Score the posting before you write a word. A 4 or 5 that isn't remote is usually a company policy, so ask in the first call whether the policy has exceptions. A 0 or 1 that says remote deserves a close read of the travel line and the office line before you get attached.
Checks two through four ask whether your output lives somewhere the whole company can open. A demand gen director's quarter is a pipeline report Sales reads every Monday, and a product marketer's launch gets judged against bookings in the CRM. Nobody needs to watch you produce either one. Brand, retail and pharma marketing runs through rooms instead: agency reviews, retail buyers, medical-legal-regulatory sign-off, brand teams that sit next to the sales leaders. Check one marks where the system is the business model, and check five is the room-work flag.
Budget pressure pushes the same way. Gartner's 2026 CMO Spend Survey found marketing budgets stuck at 7.8% of company revenue, with 56% of CMOs saying they lack the budget to deliver their strategy. A CMO defending every dollar likes a director whose results report themselves.
The bands hold inside the same title rung and outside tech, which is the test that matters. If the score only sorted software companies from everyone else, the non-tech row below would be flat.
| Slice | Room seat (0-1) | Split seat (2-3) | Dashboard seat (4-5) |
|---|---|---|---|
| All postings | 112 of 550 (20.4%) | 210 of 591 (35.5%) | 98 of 187 (52.4%) |
| Director titles | 82 of 376 (21.8%) | 162 of 449 (36.1%) | 82 of 164 (50.0%) |
| Senior Director titles | 17 of 97 (17.5%) | 39 of 103 (37.9%) | 14 of 21 (66.7%) |
| Non-tech employers | 110 of 541 (20.3%) | 132 of 420 (31.4%) | 22 of 34 (64.7%) |
| Career sites only | 11 of 104 (10.6%) | 26 of 100 (26.0%) | 14 of 43 (32.6%) |
Fully remote postings out of those that state a work model, 2,566 requisitions listed through October 27, 2026. Career sites are Workday and ATS boards, never searched with a remote keyword.
Score by score, the remote share climbs from 9.3% at 0 (9 of 97) to 22.7% at 1, 31.0% at 2, 42.7% at 3, 51.5% at 4 and 54.7% at 5 (29 of 53). Pay climbs with it, from $159K at a score of 1 to $190K at 5, with one exception: a score of 0 posts $170K (n=96), because that's where pharma and big consumer brand directors sit. They're paid well, and they're in the office.
Here's the difference on two real postings, both built on data. Paylocity's Senior Director, Demand Generation scores 5: a software company, a revenue lane, "the end-to-end pipeline and revenue engine," and accountability "for marketing-sourced and marketing-influenced revenue." It's "a fully remote position" at $180,000 to $250,000. Molson Coors' Director, Precision & Marketing Analytics scores 0. It runs programmatic and retail media targeting, but its numbers go to brand teams and "media agency partners," and the job is "4 days in the office" at $149,400 to $196,100.
The score misses sometimes, and it's worth knowing where. Achieve Life Sciences, a small drug company preparing its first launch, posts a Director, HCP Marketing that scores 0 and is remote "anywhere in the continental United States" at $225,000 to $250,000. Our read: it's "building the commercial capabilities" from scratch, so there's no brand floor to sit you on yet.
Remote follows the dashboard. When your boss can grade your quarter from the CRM, a marketing director job is more than twice as likely to be remote.
If you're scoring 50 postings a week to find the handful of real Dashboard seats, the reading becomes a second job. Remote Job Assistant's Auto-Apply sends tailored applications to the listings you'd have shortlisted anyway.

What Marketing Director Jobs Pay in 2026
The median posted range for a marketing director is $150K to $185K, with a $168K midpoint across 1,191 salaried postings. That's close to the Bureau of Labor Statistics median for marketing managers, $166,790 in May 2025, and well above Robert Half's marketing director salary data, which puts the median at $134,500 and the middle half at $110,250 to $167,250. Part of that gap is who publishes a range: pay-transparency laws in states like California, New York, Colorado and Washington push large employers to post one, and large employers pay more.
Who signs the check moves pay more than anything else in the posting.
| Employer type | Postings | Median posted pay (n) | Remote of stated |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pharma, biotech, medtech | 344 | $198,475 (139) | 48 of 189 (25.4%) |
| Tech and software | 609 | $185,000 (239) | 156 of 333 (46.8%) |
| B2B industrial and professional services | 312 | $169,088 (117) | 28 of 153 (18.3%) |
| Health providers | 140 | $165,480 (57) | 24 of 65 (36.9%) |
| Consumer brands and retail | 393 | $165,000 (196) | 32 of 187 (17.1%) |
| Recruiters posting for a client | 134 | $165,000 (77) | 27 of 64 (42.2%) |
| Banks, insurers, financial services | 154 | $163,700 (86) | 21 of 89 (23.6%) |
| Agencies | 102 | $149,212 (70) | 27 of 69 (39.1%) |
| Media and entertainment | 101 | $139,500 (59) | 12 of 53 (22.6%) |
| Schools and nonprofits | 192 | $109,250 (113) | 25 of 80 (31.2%) |
Median of posted midpoints, salaried postings with a range, 2,566 requisitions listed through October 27, 2026. 85 postings we couldn't type are left out.
Pharma pays the most and keeps most seats in the building. Tech pays $185K and is remote almost half the time. Schools and nonprofits pay $109K for the same title, $58K under the overall median.
The lane in the title matters almost as much as the employer.
| Lane (word after "Director") | Postings | Median posted pay (n) | Remote of stated |
|---|---|---|---|
| Product marketing | 290 | $190,000 (119) | 70 of 161 (43.5%) |
| Demand generation | 101 | $180,000 (41) | 38 of 57 (66.7%) |
| Marketing operations | 65 | $175,000 (31) | 14 of 45 (31.1%) |
| Brand | 252 | $170,000 (121) | 41 of 143 (28.7%) |
| Field marketing | 86 | $170,000 (49) | 17 of 42 (40.5%) |
| Growth | 128 | $165,000 (65) | 27 of 69 (39.1%) |
| Performance and paid media | 56 | $165,000 (23) | 14 of 31 (45.2%) |
| General ("Director of Marketing") | 1,035 | $162,500 (459) | 117 of 507 (23.1%) |
| Digital | 122 | $135,000 (55) | 19 of 69 (27.5%) |
| Marketing communications | 111 | $122,500 (67) | 10 of 44 (22.7%) |
Same data and method as the table above; lanes with 50 or fewer postings are left out.
Product marketing is the best-paid lane, and demand generation is the most remote. Digital and communications directors post the lowest ranges, $135K and $122.5K, because those titles cluster at schools, health systems and mid-size consumer brands. (The manager-level version of the channel split is in our guide to remote digital marketing jobs.)
Rung barely moves it. Associate directors and directors both post a $165K median (n=152 and n=893), and senior directors post $180K (n=146). On the same startup and tech job boards, the ladder runs Marketing Manager $157.5K (n=355), Senior Marketing Manager $164K (n=141), Director $190K (n=61) and VP or head of marketing $195K (n=10, a small sample). For the rung below, see remote marketing manager jobs.
The CEO-reporting discount
The reporting line is the most useful pay signal in a posting, and almost nobody reads it for pay. Postings where the director reports to the CEO, founder, president or owner post a $142,500 median (n=48). Postings where the director reports to a VP, CMO or CRO post $176,250 (n=176). Postings that say you'll own all of marketing post $150,000 (n=72).
Reporting to the CEO sounds senior. In posted pay, it's the cheapest marketing director seat in the market. The top marketer at a small company is priced against a small company's budget, and the job usually includes doing the work as well as planning it. Emerald Canning Partners' Marketing Director "will be ECP's first marketing hire and will own marketing end to end, reporting directly to the CEO," in "a hands-on leadership role," for $80,000 to $100,000. Our read: running all of marketing at a small company is a scope decision, not a raise. A director who reports to a VP or CMO earns $34K more at the median and is remote more often (76 of 199 stating postings, against 14 of 51).
On-site seats pay least of all: $147,500 (n=85), against $175,000 for remote (n=255) and $172,575 for hybrid (n=316). Half of the 196 on-site postings (97) carry a general "Marketing Director" title, and the on-site pile leans toward consumer brands (44) and industrial and professional-services firms (40). Remote doesn't cost you money in this market. It sits where the money is.

How to Raise Your Dashboard Score
The fastest way up is to change one thing, not three. Here's where the counts point from the most common starting seats.
- Brand director at a consumer company ($170K median, remote 8 of 48). Keep the lane, change the employer. Brand directors at software companies are remote 14 of 26 times and post $180K (n=14). Our guide to remote brand manager jobs covers the same split one rung down.
- "Director of Marketing" at a small company, reporting to the CEO ($143K). Move to a named lane at a bigger software company. General titles at tech companies post $175K and are remote 24 of 75 times; product marketing directors at tech companies post $192K and are remote 45 of 94 times.
- Demand gen or growth at a non-tech company. Same title, different employer. Demand gen directors at tech companies are remote 24 of 35 times at $182.5K, while growth directors at consumer companies are remote 2 of 12 times.
- Pharma brand or HCP marketing director ($202K, remote 13 of 65). You're paid for being in the room, and the room pays well. If remote matters more than the top of that range, look at small drug companies building their first commercial team, which is where Achieve's remote HCP seat came from.
- Already in a Dashboard seat. The remote clause is the easy part. Negotiate the travel line and whether the range moves with your address.
When two offers tie, break the tie in this order: the score before the title, the reporting line before the scope, and the travel line before the word "remote."
Moving lanes or employers multiplies the number of applications you need to send, because the first few rounds teach you how the new side screens. Auto-Apply handles the volume while you prepare for the calls.

Where the Remote Marketing Director Jobs Are
Start with the employer, then the lane. Inside the brand lane, software companies are remote 14 of 26 times, consumer companies 8 of 48 and pharma companies 2 of 16. A general "Director of Marketing" at a tech company is remote 24 of 75 times; at a consumer company, 8 of 58. Demand gen at tech companies is the most remote seat in the data, 24 of 35.
The office-bound employers say so in the posting, often in the first screen. Regeneron's Director, Key Accounts Marketing is "In the Sleepy Hollow, NY Office - 4 days a week." Ipsen's Director, HCP Marketing for a rare-disease brand works "3 days per week, on average, from our Cambridge, MA HQ." Molson Coors' analytics director is in "4 days." And a tech company can still be a room company: Palo Alto Networks' Director of Business Operations for digital marketing says "most of our teams work from the office full time."
The remote-first employers are just as plain. Paylocity's demand gen seat has "no in-office requirements." Dispatch "fully accommodates remote work, as long as you have a permanent residence in the US and reside in one of our registered states." Twilio calls itself "a remote-first company," with the warning that "you may be asked to report in person on an ad-hoc basis for team gatherings, functional off-sites or customer meetings."
Climbing the ladder doesn't change the odds. On the same startup and tech job boards, marketing managers are remote 138 of 464 times (29.7%), directors 34 of 111 (30.6%) and VPs or heads of marketing 11 of 37 (29.7%). What changes the odds is the lane and the employer, not the rung.
Analytics doesn't change them either. Directors of marketing analytics are remote 9 of 31 times (29.0%) and marketing operations directors 14 of 45 (31.1%), right around the overall rate. Molson Coors' analytics seat is in the office four days because brand teams and agencies are the ones reading its output.
A data-heavy title doesn't make a seat remote. Who reads the numbers does.
These counts run higher than the broad market. Robert Half's Q2 2026 count found 4% of marketing and creative postings fully remote, 14% hybrid and 82% fully on-site. Our share is higher because we count only postings that state a work model and because director seats at software companies skew remote. LinkedIn's "6,000+ remote" headline is loose in the other direction: 1,507 of the 4,232 cards our LinkedIn searches returned weren't director-level marketing titles at all. On the creative side of the department, the same pattern shows up in our guide to remote creative director jobs.
The Small Print on Remote Marketing Director Postings
Fully remote doesn't mean no strings. We read the 420 fully remote postings for the conditions attached, and these are the ones that came up most.
- Travel. 34 state a travel percentage, with a median of 25%; 23 ask for 25% or more and 5 for 50% or more. Learning Sciences International's remote Executive Director of Growth Marketing requires "Periodic travel (25%) to either the PA or FL offices and other customer or company travel." Achieve's remote HCP seat "may require travel of up to 25% for events, conferences, and company meetings."
- A list of states. 16 limit where you can live. Dental A Team's Director of Marketing is "Remote (Must be located in AZ/NV/UT/TX)." Midwest Veterinary Supply's Director of Brand Engagement says "Candidates must reside in one of the following states" and lists them.
- A time zone. 22 name one. Learning Sciences International says "Remote is acceptable within the Eastern and Central time zone areas," and the Humane Society Legislative Fund asks that candidates "accommodate Eastern Time hours, as needed."
- Pay tied to your address. 22 tie the range to where you live. Instacart's Director, Ads Product Marketing is remote and "the base pay range for a successful candidate is dependent on their permanent work location."
- Remote, within commuting distance. FranklinCovey's Director, Product Marketing is "Remote – Anywhere in the Greater Salt Lake City, UT area."
- No employer name. 27 come from recruiters or job-board reposters for an unnamed client. Contracts are rare: 2 of the 420.
Field marketing is remote for the same reason it travels. The job is in the territory, not the headquarters, so 30 of 86 field marketing postings mention travel (35%), twice the rate across all postings (433 of 2,566, 17%).
| Flag in the posting | What it usually means | What to ask |
|---|---|---|
| Remote plus travel of 25% or more | A field or customer-facing seat with monthly trips | How many trips a quarter, and how far ahead are they booked? |
| A list of states | Payroll is registered in those states only | Does moving to another state later need approval? |
| A named time zone | Meetings run on headquarters hours | What are the core hours for this team? |
| Range "dependent on work location" | Location-tiered pay | Which tier is my address in? |
| "Open to remote for the right candidate" | Office-first, remote by exception | Did the last person in this seat work remotely? |
| Recruiter posting with no employer named | A search firm or a repost | Who is the client, and is the search exclusive? |
| "Remote, anywhere in [metro area]" | Commuting-distance remote | How often will I be expected in the office? |
If you're applying to 20 remote seats to land three serious conversations, the small print is where most of the time goes. Auto-Apply takes the form-filling off your plate so you can spend that time on the questions above.

What Marketing Director Postings Ask For
The median posting asks for 7 years of experience (n=2,070), and 642 ask for 10 or more. Robert Half puts it the same way: "An MBA is often preferred, as is 5 to 10 years of applicable experience."
The MBA is a pharma and big-brand signal. 551 of 2,566 postings (21.5%) mention one. Those pay more ($185K median against $165K) and are remote less often (62 of 281, 22.1%, against 358 of 1,047, 34.2%). Regulated review, meaning medical-legal-regulatory or FINRA sign-off, shows up in 179 postings with a $189K median and a remote rate of 24 of 105.
Agency management carries no pay premium and a remote penalty. The 399 postings that ask you to manage agencies post $170K (against $167.5K without) and are remote 44 of 204 times (21.6%, against 33.5%). Gartner's 2025 survey found 39% of CMOs planning to cut agency budgets, so a resume built on agency rosters is aimed at the office-bound part of the market.
The stack tells you the company's size. Salesforce appears in 297 postings (remote 73 of 183, $172.5K), HubSpot in 202 (remote 59 of 120, $160K) and Marketo in 86 (remote 22 of 58, $183.5K). HubSpot is the small-company tell: 23 of its 202 postings report to the CEO or own all of marketing, against 2 of 86 Marketo postings, which is why it's the lowest paid of the three.
Hands-on channel skills pull pay down. Postings that name SEO (459) post $155K against $170K without, and postings that name Google Analytics or GA4 (204) post $145K against $170K. Those duties mark the department-of-one seat, where the director also runs the channels: 65 of the 459 SEO postings report to the CEO or own all of marketing, against 241 of 2,566 overall. If SEO is your strongest skill, our guide to remote SEO jobs covers where it pays on its own.
AI is now a line item in the job. 549 of 2,566 postings (21.4%) name AI tools or AI search, and those are remote more often (126 of 336, 37.5%, against 29.6%) and pay more ($175K against $165K). Gartner's 2026 survey found CMOs putting 15.3% of marketing budgets into AI initiatives. Paylocity's posting goes further and puts "Generative Engine Optimization (GEO)" in the director's job description.
Frequently Asked Questions
I'm a brand marketing director at a consumer company. How do I find a fully remote role without taking a pay cut?
Change the employer before you change the lane. Brand directors at consumer companies are remote 8 of 48 times in our data (16.7%) at a $170K median; at software companies it's 14 of 26 (53.8%) at $180K. Target brand titles at B2B software companies that also mention pipeline or the CRM, which pushes the Dashboard Score to 3 or 4.
Do remote marketing director jobs pay less than office jobs?
No. Remote postings have a $175K median (n=255), hybrid postings $172.6K (n=316) and on-site postings $147.5K (n=85). Remote seats cluster at software companies, which pay well, while on-site seats lean toward local businesses and single-location brands.
What does a Dashboard Score of 3 mean for a marketing director job?
A 3 is the top of the Split seat band: usually a software company and a revenue lane that are missing either pipeline language or a named stack. Postings that score exactly 3 are remote 97 of 227 times (42.7%), with a $175K median. One more check, usually a named CRM or a pipeline target, takes it into the Dashboard band, where 52.4% of stating postings are remote.
Is a Director of Marketing role that reports to the CEO a step up?
In scope, often. In pay, no. CEO-reporting postings have a $142,500 median (n=48) against $176,250 for directors who report to a VP or CMO (n=176), and they're remote less often (14 of 51 against 76 of 199). Take it for the scope, the equity or the chance to build a team, not for a raise.
Are the remote marketing director jobs on LinkedIn actually remote?
Some are. In the posting text, 420 of the 1,328 marketing director postings that state a work model (31.6%) are fully remote, and on employers' own career sites it's 51 of 247 (20.6%). Read the location and travel lines too: 16 of the 420 remote postings limit you to named states, and 34 state a travel percentage, with 25% the median.
Do I need an MBA to become a marketing director?
Usually not. 551 of 2,566 postings (21.5%) mention an MBA, mostly at pharma companies and big consumer brands; those pay more ($185K against $165K) and are remote less often (22.1% against 34.2%). The median posting asks for 7 years of experience.
Should I take a fractional CMO role instead of a full-time marketing director job?
Only if you want to run a small consulting business. Fractional work rarely appears as a job posting: none of the 2,566 director requisitions we read was fractional. You'd be selling hours to several companies at once, which is a different job from running one marketing team.
Find Your Next Remote Marketing Director Role
Here's the order we'd follow with these numbers. If remote is the priority, score every posting and apply to the 4s and 5s first, since about half of them are remote. If pay is the priority, look at pharma and software, and read the reporting line before the range: a VP or CMO above you is worth $34K at the median over a CEO. If you run all of marketing at a small company today, the move up is usually a named lane at a bigger one.
