About The Role
The Associate Director of Business Communications is responsible for helping develop and execute market-level communications plans, in partnership with our Market Leaders, Market Directors, and other partners across Oscar.
You will report into the Senior Director, Business Communications.
Work Location
This position is based in our Tempe, AZ office, requiring a hybrid work schedule with 3 days of in-office work per week. Thursdays are a required in-office day for team meetings and events, while your other two office days are flexible to suit your schedule.

The base pay for this role is: $

per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program, and annual performance bonuses.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute comprehensive market-level strategies that align to Oscar's strategic growth plan and the Market Leaders growth priorities.
Assist with the development of executive thought leadership platforms, including presentation, event, networking, written, and social media opportunities, to show the innovative perspectives of our Oscar Insurance and Market Leaders.
Build and maintain relationships with key organizations in the market to position Oscar for speaking, sponsorships and other awareness-driving opportunities.
Partner with the Oscar media team to develop market-level communications strategies across earned and owned media.
Collaborate closely with internal teams, including marketing, public relations, investor relations, government affairs, and executive leadership, to ensure consistency in messaging and alignment of market-level communications.
Evaluate the efficacy of in-market communications strategies by tracking key engagement metrics and KPIs, in partnership with the Media team.
Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in communications, public relations, or corporate communications, with demonstrated progression in responsibilities.
Experience Managing Multiple, Complex Projects At Once And Working In A Deadline Sensitive Environment For Executives.
Bonus Points
Agency, in-house, healthcare – with an understanding of payor, provider, patient, and B2B services marketplace dynamics (or other regulated industry) – public affairs or state/local policy experience is a plus.
Public company experience preferred

Pay Transparency
Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.
