About The Role

Vercel is seeking a

Startups Advocate

to help bring the next generation of high-growth startups onto the Vercel platform. This role is ideal for individuals with a technical background who are passionate about web development and curious about breaking into sales at a world-class developer tools company.

As a Startups Advocate, you’ll play a key role in identifying, engaging, and onboarding newly funded startups. You’ll connect with technical founders and position how Vercel can accelerate their growth from day one. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll leverage your understanding of Next.js and Vercel and gain exposure to the fast-paced world of startup sales, developer relations, and go-to-market strategy.

What You Will Do

Identify and engage recently funded startups that could benefit from Vercel’s platform

Research prospects and tailor outreach to technical founders and early engineering teams

Collaborate with Account Executives to qualify opportunities and drive adoption

Work closely with Marketing, Developer Relations, and Sales Engineering to optimize messaging and outreach strategies

Learn from world-class sales and product leaders while developing your technical sales acumen

Contribute feedback from startups to help shape how Vercel grows this new segment

About You

Passion for web development and staying current with the latest trends and technologies

3+ years of experience in a technical, sales, or customer support role for a technical product

Excellent communication skills — ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

Self-motivated and able to work independently while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams

Bonus If You Have

Background in computer science, web development, or a related technical field

Vercel, Next.js, or any other technical background or understanding

Salesforce, Outreach, or similar

The San Francisco, CA total pay range for this role is $90,000 - $100,000. Actual salary will be based on job-related skills, experience, and location. Compensation outside of San Francisco may be adjusted based on employee location. The total compensation package may include benefits, equity-based compensation, and eligibility for a company bonus or variable pay program depending on the role.
