Software Engineering Intern

We’re looking for interns to join us to help collect, aggregate, visualize, and analyze high-scale metrics, logs, and application data. Software engineering at Datadog includes a variety of exciting opportunities across backend, frontend, infrastructure, libraries, data engineering, and data science. Interested in distributed systems or Kubernetes across tens of thousands of nodes? Looking to build products for Cloud Security Management, Real User Monitoring, or LLM Observability? Want to see your work actually impact and improve the product in a meaningful way? We’ve got you covered. Whether you’re writing a new integration, building data pipelines, or working with the open-source community, our recent graduates are key contributors to our product.

What You’ll Do

Solve scaling bottlenecks in critical services to grow Datadog for its expanding customer base

Deploy new features to production and contribute to projects that have a tangible impact on customers across Datadog’s user base

Develop your tech stack through technologies such as Kubernetes, Bazel, and many more while receiving mentorship from the best engineers in the industry

Grow alongside a diverse cohort of talented interns while working in a fun and collaborative environment

Who You Are

You will graduate in 2026 with a degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related subject

You have strong computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, software design, to name a few)

You are comfortable coding in one or more programming languages

You value code simplicity and performance

You want to work in a fast-paced environment that values its employees and customers

You are a self-starter who enjoys partnering with other engineers and solving difficult problems

You are available to complete a 6-month internship starting in February, March, April, May, or June 2026 (we are unable to accommodate internships starting at any other time)
