About This Role

Omada Health is on a mission to bend the curve of chronic disease.

Job Overview

Omada Health is a digital care provider that empowers people to achieve their health goals through sustainable behavioral change. We are on a mission to inspire and engage people in lifelong health, one step at a time. We’re looking for a software engineer to join our Enrollment team — the group that owns the technology moving a prospective member from initial interest all the way through eligibility, plan selection, and activation as an enrolled participant.

Great software is the key to providing effective care at scale. We hire passionate, creative people and give them the autonomy to do great work. Our software engineers are comfortable dealing with high-level specifications, working independently and in small teams, and are heavy contributors in the product process from idea to production.

About You

You work with empathy for your coworkers, stakeholders and users. You are excited to work cross-functionally with a variety of people and ideas. You work directly with stakeholders to design solutions and drive the technical decisions for delivery. You proactively keep up with technology trends and can assess technical trade-offs between solutions across service boundaries. You care about writing quality software and recognize that there are often many right answers. You are excited about the challenge of learning new technologies and context. You are enthusiastic about providing the best possible care for our members.

What You’ll Be Doing

Design and implement a blend of proprietary and third-party tools that power our member enrollment funnel — eligibility verification, plan/benefit matching, signup, and activation. Play a pivotal role in influencing conversion and time-to-enrollment by refining existing methods or deploying new solutions, working closely with Product and Marketing collaborators.

Contribute to the delivery of high-quality web application code, maintaining site stability through code reviews and writing unit and integration tests, while learning and applying best practices for architecture, system design, and coding standards.

Spend the majority of your time on hands-on coding, with opportunities to learn from and collaborate with more experienced engineers to solve programming and design challenges.

Work in an agentic coding workflow as a standard part of daily development — directing tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot to plan, implement, test, and review changes across the software development lifecycle. This is a core expectation of the role, not an optional add-on.

Contribute your ideas and collaborate with the team to adopt new technologies, being open to learning and adapting to new technology advancements.

Participate in our on-call rotation; triage and address reliability issues that come up in the enrollment pipeline, ensuring system stability and resolving critical problems as they arise.

What You Need For This Role

3-5 years of experience writing readable, tested, and efficient code

Experience With Ruby (preferred) Or Python

Experience With Relational Databases (postgresql, Mysql)

Experience With Designing Scalable, Maintainable And Secure Apis

Understanding of CI/CD pipelines

Exposure to LLMs and GenAI best practices

Hands-on comfort directing AI coding agents (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to plan, implement, and validate changes — beyond simple autocomplete usage

Understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), and deployment tools (Kubernetes, Docker)

Willingness to learn new tools, languages, workflows, and philosophies to grow

Curiosity and care more about solving problems than being right

Excellent communication and collaboration skills (verbal and written)

Technologies We Use

Ruby on Rails, React, AWS (RDS with PostgreSQL, SQS, S3), GraphQL, Docker, Kubernetes, and agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot)
