What you’ll do
This role partners with hiring managers and technical leaders to define needs, align on goals, and drive the full recruitment cycle—from sourcing and engaging candidates to onboarding. The recruiter will develop strategies to attract and retain diverse technical talent, build proactive pipelines, and use hiring metrics to continuously improve processes. They will collaborate across teams to ensure fairness and efficiency, while also strengthening Brex’s employer brand through events and external representation. As part of this work, the recruiter will directly support hiring for Brex’s new company initiative focused on building the future of agentic finance. This includes partnering closely with the founder to identify and bring in world-class engineers who have deep experience with LLMs, strong product instincts, and high agency.
Where you’ll work
This role will be based in our San Francisco office. We are a hybrid environment that combines the energy and connections of being in the office with the benefits and flexibility of working from home. We currently require a minimum of two coordinated days in the office per week, Wednesday and Thursday. Starting February 2, 2026, we will require three days per week in office - Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. As a perk, we also have up to four weeks per year of fully remote work!
Responsibilities
Partner directly with the CTO and CEO to strategically drive hiring initiatives critical to building Brex’s agentic layer.
Focus on attracting and evaluating top AI talent, with a strong emphasis on candidates experienced in agentic AI and executive-level collaboration.
Lead sourcing and outreach efforts for technical roles.
Screen and evaluate candidate qualifications, technical skills, and cultural alignment.
Coordinate and facilitate interview processes, ensuring a positive and efficient experience for both candidates and interviewers.
Provide regular updates and insights to hiring managers and stakeholders on pipeline health and recruiting progress.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate data in recruiting systems and dashboards.
Contribute to continuous improvement of recruiting processes, tools, and candidate experience
Requirements
Proven experience recruiting for technical roles (e.g., software engineering, data, product) in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Strong sourcing skills and familiarity with modern recruiting tools and platforms.
Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management abilities.
Data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret recruiting metrics and make process improvements.
Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of recruiting.
Ability to manage multiple searches and priorities simultaneously.
Bonus Points
Strong knowledge of compensation strategy and market analysis for highly technical roles, with a focus on AI engineering talent
Executive hiring experience, especially partnering with senior leadership and leading senior-level or niche searches
Experience driving employer branding and talent marketing initiatives to position the company as a top destination for AI engineers
Proven success recruiting across geographies (US, Canada, LATAM), tailoring approaches to diverse markets
Compensation
The expected salary range for this role is $142,380-$175,941. However, the starting base pay will depend on a number of factors including the candidate’s location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity. Depending on the position offered, equity and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package.
