Okta is The World’s Identity Company. We free everyone to safely use any technology, anywhere, on any device or app. Our flexible and neutral products, Okta Platform and Auth0 Platform, provide secure access, authentication, and automation, placing identity at the core of business security and growth.
At Okta, we celebrate a variety of perspectives and experiences. We are not looking for someone who checks every single box - we’re looking for lifelong learners and people who can make us better with their unique experiences.
Join our team! We’re building a world where Identity belongs to you.
As the Senior Director of Marketing Strategy & Operations at Okta, you are the architect of our global growth engine. You are responsible for the infrastructure, processes, and data driven insights that allow our marketing organization to scale predictably and efficiently. You will act as the ultimate "connector," eliminating silos between Marketing, Sales, and Finance to ensure every dollar spent is tracked, optimized, and aligned with our enterprise revenue goals. You will lead a high-performing organization that is the backbone of our go-to-market strategy.
This is a high impact leadership role requiring a rare blend of strategic vision and “high operator" execution. Leading a team of professionals, you will oversee the total marketing lifecycle - from annual planning and budget trade-offs to the technical underpinning of our global MarTech stack. You are a storyteller who can translate complex data into a compelling performance narrative for the C-suite, while maintaining an unrelenting bar for operational rigor and quality.
What you’ll be doing
Strategic Architecture & Planning
Partner with the Marketing Leadership Team (MLT) and Finance to lead annual and quarterly planning. You will drive high stakes budget trade-off discussions, ensuring resources are allocated to the highest impact growth levers
Measurement & Revenue Intelligence
Create the global measurement framework and single source of truth reporting foundation. You will own lead to opportunity mapping, pipeline attribution models, and funnel velocity metrics that inform GTM strategy
Executive Narrative
Distill complex marketing performance data into clear, actionable insights. You will regularly craft the performance narrative for the CMO, connecting marketing activity to business outcomes
Technology & Ai Vision
Oversee the evolution of the enterprise MarTech stack. Partner with Technology, Data & Insights (TDI), and our AI Hub and Spoke teams to ensure a cohesive vision for future investment, specifically looking at how AI will innovate and underpin our marketing operation
Operational Excellence, Data Integrity, and Governance:
Drive operational rigor and serve as the steward of Marketing data integrity by establishing a trusted data foundation, ensuring systems provide high-fidelity insights, and maintaining rigorous governance standards for accurate executive decision-making and automated marketing motions across the lead-to-opportunity lifecycle.
Frictionless Orchestration
Architect the systems that ensure lead scoring models, automated routing, and cross functional SLAs are seamless and high velocity. Your goal is to eliminate friction between Marketing and Sales, ensuring our enterprise teams act on the right accounts at the right time
Strategic Pmo & Alignment With Corporate Strategic Goals And Initiatives
Lead the Marketing PMO to drive execution of our most critical cross functional initiatives. Translating high level corporate goals into actionable project roadmaps and measurable results
Team Leadership
Lead and mentor a multi layered organization, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, transparency, and high performance
What you’ll bring to the role
The "high Operator"
12+ years in Marketing or Revenue Operations within a large Enterprise B2B SaaS environment. You have a proven track record of moving an organization from "manual and messy" to "automated and streamlined."
The Connector
You possess a unique ability to "connect the dots" across the marketing function, identifying how a change in the tech stack affects analytics, which in turn shifts the strategy. With proven experience in breaking down silos in a matrixed, global organization and a strategic business partner to the C-suite and other GTM leaders.
Technical Diplomat
You are as comfortable discussing API integrations and data architecture with Engineering as you are discussing CAC/LTV ratios and ROI with the CFO
Data Driven Storyteller
You don't just report numbers; you provide context. You have a mastery of measurement frameworks, BI tools (Tableau), and advanced attribution modeling
Scale Mindset: Experience leading large teams (30+) through periods of rapid growth and transformation, maintaining high morale and clear prioritization under pressure
