About This Role
Datadog is seeking an outstanding Security Manager to support the Vulnerability Management program in our growing multi-provider ecosystem.
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Engineering Manager to lead and manage our Vulnerability Management Engineering team focused on vulnerability management and mitigation for Datadog's public products. The successful candidate will lead a team of security engineers responsible for triaging, assessing, and addressing security vulnerabilities in Datadog’s products, including the Datadog Agent and trace libraries. This is a highly visible and critical role within our security organization, as these products are integral to the monitoring and observability of our customers' systems.
As an Engineering Manager, you will provide leadership and mentorship to your team, ensure a high standard of vulnerability management practices, and work cross-functionally with product and engineering teams to ensure the security and integrity of Datadog’s offerings. You will also play a key role in shaping and implementing the security posture for Datadog’s products.
What You’ll Do
Lead, mentor, and grow a team of security engineers responsible for vulnerability triage across Datadog’s public-facing products.
Evaluate and assess vulnerabilities in Datadog’s public-facing products, including the Datadog Agent, trace libraries, integrations, and APIs.
Work with product, development, and security teams to ensure effective remediation and verification of vulnerabilities.
Partner with internal and external customers to analyze security reports, identify false positives, and plan fixes required.
Provide evidence and subject matter expertise for vulnerability management processes and controls for multiple compliance frameworks (
SOC2
,
HIPAA
,
PCI
, FedRAMP, ISO)
Provide regular reports to leadership on the status of vulnerability triage, outstanding security issues, and key performance metrics.
Who You Are
You have in-depth knowledge of common security vulnerabilities, including those found in cloud-native environments and software components like agents, APIs, and libraries.
You have excellent leadership, mentorship, and coaching skills, with the ability to foster a high-performing security team for a large software system
You have strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You have a proven track record of managing cross-functional collaboration between security, engineering, and product teams.
You are experienced in one or more programming languages (Golang, Python, Java, etc.)
You are able to work independently and collaboratively, and communicate effectively in a fast-paced, high growth, distributed organization
You have a
BS
/MS/PhD in a Computer Science, Engineering or related scientific field or equivalent experience
