Global Safety & Security Associate - NYC

The Global Safety & Security Team is part of Operations, which runs many day-to-day operational functions that help keep our employees safe, happy and productive. We work closely with leadership and employees to ensure that Datadog continues to scale rapidly, yet smoothly, and remains a fantastic place to work.

The Physical Security Systems Associate will support and drive innovation and operational efficiencies by implementing physical security technologies globally, including finding integration solutions between complex physical security access systems and creating frictionless experiences for our Office Operations teams and employees.

What You’ll Do

Support the operational availability and assist in the growth of Datadog’s Physical Security technology program, including access control, video management system, intercoms, system integrations, dataflows, configurations and documentation

Assist in programming, configuring and maintaining technical security devices and platforms under the guidance of Systems and Technology Senior Manager

Act as a point of escalation for basic technical issues raised by the Office Ops team and other internal partners

Contribute to project coordination efforts for new office openings, including tracking tasks and timelines

Help administer and support Datadog’s mass notification and visitor management platforms

Perform routine maintenance of databases and access controls for technical security systems

Assist in conducting regular audits of physical security systems to ensure alignment with internal standards

Provide basic technical support during physical security investigations as needed

Who You Are

Hands on experience with Access Control and CCTV systems, with foundational knowledge of system architecture and operations

Familiarity with physical security technologies and their IT dependencies (e.g. networking, low voltage wiring, system configuration)

Demonstrated interest and ability in building and improving systems or workflows

Exposure to managing or supporting integrations between physical security systems (e.g. access control, video surveillance, visitor management)

Experience Assisting In The Deployment Of Scalable, User-friendly Security Solutions

Contributed to the execution of technical security projects by supporting timelines, documentation, and coordination across teams

Some experience working with or coordinating external security vendors or integrators across locations

2–3 years of experience in corporate physical security or related technical roles, with a focus on IP based access control and surveillance systems
