Project Basecamp AI

, you'll work on implementing cutting-edge artificial intelligence capabilities within our ServiceNow HR Service Delivery platform.

Digital Solutions partners closely with HR stakeholders and our internal technology teams to scope, design, build, and deploy system enhancements that transform how we work and automate critical processes. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with enterprise AI implementations while making a tangible impact on thousands of employees.

What You’ll Get to Do

Lead Ai-powered Case Management Initiatives

Design and build intelligent automation solutions that transform our employee case routing and resolution process

Implement AI-driven case categorization using Natural Language Processing (NLP) to automatically classify and tag incoming HR requests

Develop intelligent case assignment capabilities that route cases to the right HR specialist based on content analysis, urgency levels, and team workload

Create similar case detection functionality that suggests relevant resolutions based on previously solved cases

Collaborate Cross-functionally

Partner with TDI (Technology, Data & Infrastructure) and Engineering teams to solve complex technical challenges

Work alongside People Operations Specialists to understand pain points and requirements

Present findings and recommendations to project stakeholders

Drive Operational Excellence

Analyze current HR case management workflows and identify automation opportunities

Reduce manual hours spent triaging tier 1 support cases in ServiceNow

Measure and report on AI implementation success metrics

Learn And Grow

Gain deep knowledge of HR operational support areas including employee data management, self-service transactions and FAQ inquiries

Develop expertise in ServiceNow HRSD platform and AI/ML capabilities

Build experience with enterprise-grade machine learning tools and AI technologies

Who We are Looking For

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field and graduating December 2026 or Spring 2027

Data-first mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Genuine interest in Operations and improving employee experiences

Interest in machine learning tools and demonstrated AI proficiency (coursework, projects, or self-study)

Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions

Strong communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

As an intern, you’ll do real work that matters. While you’re on board, you’ll work on meaningful projects and have an opportunity to see what working at Okta is all about. You’ll also have the support of your mentor and manager to help you develop new skills.

Our interns have the opportunity to build a strong community - with their fellow interns, within their teams, and with the broader company. We want you to grow professionally and you’ll do that through participating in events like our Executive Speaker Series and Brown Bags.  And of course, we want you to have fun too. We offer 12 week internships in the U.S. in the Summer and 16 week co-ops in Canada. You may choose from the following options: May 26 – August 14 or June 15 – September 4.

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in San Francisco Bay Area. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies.
