As Sr. Manager, Corporate FP&A, you will sit at the center of how Gong understands its own financial performance. You will own the analytical work that informs decisions made by the CFO and executive team — not as a support function, but as a real thought partner. If you've spent time in investment banking, consulting, or private equity and want to apply that rigor to directly impact the direction and growth of a fast scaling company, this is the seat.

What You'll Do

Own the company's consolidated financial model and P&L narrative — not just maintaining it, but constantly challenging it. What assumptions are embedded that haven't been revisited? What does the data suggest that the model doesn't yet reflect?

Drive ARR forecasting and revenue analytics in close partnership with GTM Strategy — understanding not just what the numbers say, but what is driving them at the cohort, segment, and product level

As Gong expands into consumption-based pricing for AI features, build and own the financial framework for modeling hybrid revenue — subscription ARR alongside usage-based and credit-based revenue streams

Lead scenario modeling and strategic analysis that informs resource allocation decisions at the executive level — the kind of work where intellectual rigor and sound judgment matter as much as technical execution

Co-lead the monthly close review, quarterly forecast cycle, and annual planning process — bringing a point of view to each, not just a package

Drive forecast accuracy improvement over time: identify where and why the model misses, develop better leading indicators, and systematically close the gap

Support the preparation of CFO-level reporting and management presentations, including monthly financial reviews and QBR materials prepared for leadership — with the expectation that you can tell the story behind the numbers, not just produce the slides

What We're Looking For

The Profile

You are the person who, when handed a dataset, immediately asks what else should be in it, what the outliers mean, and what the trend looks like three levels down. You have a natural intolerance for surface-level explanations and a habit of asking "what am I not seeing?" before you sign off on any analysis. You've built models under pressure, defended them in rooms full of skeptics, and used the experience to build better ones next time.

Experience

8+ years in investment banking, private equity, strategy consulting, equity research, or high-growth company FP&A — with a track record of owning complex financial analysis end-to-end, not just supporting it

Deep command of enterprise SaaS metrics: ARR, NDR, CAC payback, LTV/CAC, cohort retention, gross margin by product line — you don't need to look these up, and you understand the nuances, edge cases, and common misinterpretations behind each

Bonus: experience modeling consumption or usage-based revenue — understanding how utilization curves, credit burn rates, and variable COGS interact with a subscription base is a real differentiator here

Advanced financial modeling skills; you build models that other people can audit, stress-test, and trust

Experience with financial planning tools (Pigment, Adaptive, Anaplan) and ERP/CRM systems; comfortable working across systems and knowing their limitations

Prior exposure to high-growth or pre-IPO environments where the playbook isn't written and the work requires building from first principles

The annual salary hiring range for this position is $138,000 - $210,000 USD.

Compensation is based on factors unique to each candidate, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, qualification, education, experience, and location. At Gong, we have a location-based compensation structure, which means there may be a different range for candidates in other locations. The total compensation package for this position, in addition to base compensation, may include incentive compensation, bonus, equity, and benefits. Some of our sales compensation programs also offer the potential to achieve above targeted earnings for those who exceed their sales targets.
