Audio Visual Engineer - Event Support

Asana is looking for an experienced Audio Visual Engineer to join our IT Team and help manage AV and event operations across our worldwide offices. Based in our San Francisco office, working with a team, you will primarily oversee daily AV events and support our conference rooms globally.

You enjoy collaborating with others rather than working in isolation, but can work in isolation when necessary. While you are precise and detail-oriented, you can also think creatively and push boundaries when necessary. This role is based in our San Francisco office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams you partner with. What you’ll achieve

Plan and support events ranging from 300+ person internal/external events to small team meetings.

Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure specific event technology needs.

Perform daily checks of conference rooms and presentation spaces to ensure full functionality.

Operate a wide range of A/V production equipment (Yamaha Mixers, Tricaster, ETC Lightboards, Zoom and Crestron).

Produce videos for internal messaging and training videos with Sony cameras and edit with Adobe Creative Suite.

Troubleshoot A/V and network-related issues affecting event setups and performance.

Maintain detailed technical documentation, including runbooks and troubleshooting guides.

Train end users and develop on-the-fly solutions for events.

Organize and maintain event production inventory and storage spaces.

About You

5+ years of experience in corporate live events, conference center operations, or hotel A/V support.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop creative solutions.

Flexible schedule to support occasional night/weekend events or traveling to other offices for support.

Proficiency with event production and conferencing technology (Yamaha, Tricaster, Blackmagic ATEM, Neat, Logitech, Poly, Crestron, Zoom Rooms).

Experience With Collaboration And Ticketing Software (gsuite, Asana, Zendesk).

Skilled in event coordination and project management with attention to detail.

Comfortably and clearly able to communicate with executives, vendors and customers with varying levels of technical backgrounds.

Effective communication skills and familiarity with presentation and media editing tools (gSlides, PowerPoint, Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Photoshop).

Demonstrates curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with a willingness to learn and leverage them to enhance productivity, collaboration, or decision-making

To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we're committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit.

For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $146,000–166,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.

In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity, sales incentive pay (for most sales roles), and benefits.
