The Social Trading team makes Robinhood feel like a community, not a utility.

We ship live feeds, comments, reactions, and sharing flows that stay smooth even during spikes around big market moments. Engineers here tackle hard problems: turning real-time event streams into stable, responsive interfaces; working with backend and ML systems for ranking and personalization; and designing architectures that remain fast and maintainable as we iterate quickly. If you love building polished social experiences on top of complex, high-throughput systems, this is the place to do it.

Robinhood’s

Engineering Cortex (Co-Pilot)

team builds intelligent developer tools and AI systems that supercharge engineering velocity across the company. They enable product teams to ship secure, high-quality code faster—using automation, data, and first-principles design to eliminate friction from every stage of the development lifecycle.

The

International Brokerage Engineering

team builds the platforms and trading systems that power Robinhood’s global expansion. They design scalable, compliant, and high-performance infrastructure to deliver seamless investing experiences to customers across new markets and asset classes.

The

Futures Engineering

team builds the trading systems and infrastructure that will power Robinhood’s entry into the futures market.  This team will expand Robinhood’s product suite and advance our mission to democratize access to sophisticated investing tools.

What You'll Do

Work with a fast-growing team to revolutionize finance at speed and scale

Build smooth, stable, and elegant products with Kotlin and the newest Android APIs

Own features from inception to design, implementation, and launch

Work cross-functionally with Product Designers, Product Managers, Backend Developers, and Data team

Work with Kotlin, Android SDK & Jetpack Compose, MVVM, Coroutines & Flow (preferred) OR RxJava, and Retrofit & Room

What You Bring

2+ years of professional Android development experience building consumer Android applications at scale, preferably in Kotlin and Compose

Attention to detail, passion for writing clean, readable and maintainable code

Proficiency in Kotlin or Java, and Jetpack

Desire to improve Robinhood's app and codebase to ensure outstanding quality for our all users

Strong product sense and ability to collaborate with Product Managers and Designers

Excellent communication skills and passion for solving technical challenges

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred; equivalent training or work experience also acceptable

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected base pay range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.
